Cant wait for my tags

the question is what bullet should i use on theese guys , my minimal shot distance is going to be 300-400 yards im thinking 120g gold dot ? i dont know if id trust the 123g eld-m on antlope at that distance

lol pretty much for now but once august 1st gets here....... lol . this was just a small group of 5/6 we have a larger group of about 30 something that comes threw at about 5-6:30am and 8pm

A Friend has taken about a dozen antelope over the years with the 6.5 Grendel. He started with a 24” AA upper with a near max load of Accurate 2520 and the 120 grain Nolser Ballistic Tip hunting bullet. His longest kill was over 500 yards in Wyoming. The last few years he’s been using an 18” 6.5 Grendel. I think he has used some loads with CFE 223 powder when A2520 powder supply dried up.

Might look into the Nosler 129 ABLR as well as the Gold Dot. The Noslers have a reputation of maintaining velocity at longer range, and a lower expansion velocity of 1300fps.

will do . i forgot i have 2 boxes of sst's but iirc they are 140's i bought for my creedmoor ill have to look after work and see

How thick are they in the chest cross section wise?

80-140 lbs last few years I've just been using the 7mm rem mag on them most shots have been in the 5-600y range but I also wasn't worried about trying to b closer with the 7mm

Inside 300 yards the 120 gold dot should do just fine for your needs.

What the hell do you do with 15 antelope? Deer season opens for rural residents on federal land tomorrow! Between me and my wife we eat 5 or so. Depends if I go hog hunting. But right now I can't wait for some fresh veni. Too much surf and not enough turf.

Antelope is pretty tasty I keep 2-4 for myself and give away what ever else I get , and then other ppl on the farm also take some

i am so envious. between where i use to live, and where i live now, i've put in for antelope for 35 years in a row and have never been drawn even once.

going to be using 90g tnts spoke with another friend today who also has tags and has shot deer with them as well says they work just fine, if there fine on deer they will be just fine on the antelope too

Here in New Mexico, if we're lucky enough to draw a tag, we only get to shoot one antelope. 15 tags! Green with envy! Some folks I knew used to rent a refrigerated truck & drive it up to Wyoming during antelope season. They'd fill that sucker up! The SOBs never invited me! :mad:

I've been lucky twice & harvested a couple of nice bucks.
