Been lurking for a while but finally signed up. Have a 20 side-charger on the way and since LFP Grendel ammo is nonexistent right now Im going to learn reloading.
All I have right now is an RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme kit, planning on shooting a couple boxes of regular ammo through it then use those cases to load up the LFP rounds.
Will be primarily a California deer rifle with shots out to 200 yards, most within 100. Looking at the Hornady 115gr or the CCB 100 gr, trying to keep velocity up with bullets on the lighter side since expansion is important to me.

You're off to a good start. What have you reloaded in the past? If you don't already have 'em, pick up vol's 1 and 2 of the Grendel Handbook from BFT. They have a wealth of info on reloading for the grendel!

Yes we hear your pain about lead-free projectiles in California!
Nonetheless, many of us shed crocodile tears because many of these lead-free bullets are serious hunting tools.

I read those threads extensively before signing up and they helped me greatly in narrowing down projectiles and powders, especially potential minimum opening velocities. I created a thread to help round out my research and start getting components.

My problem with LFP is not so much being forced to use them (although I don't like that at all), its the extortion of LFP manufacturers to get on the "approved list" and the impossibility of finding LFP ammo on the shelf outside a few popular calibers (then not being able to order it online if I can find it in stock somewhere).
