First Grendel build

New member here. I just completed my first Grendel build. My build consists of

-Aero M4E1 upper and lower
-BA stainless 20” barrel
-BA bolt
-Magpul MOE stock
-Cheap PSA freefloat handguard
- Vortex scope



I was able to take it to the range today. All I gotta say is WOW! The Grendel is such an awesome cartridge. It’s definitely my new favorite. After getting it sighted in I could do around .8 moa with a 5 shot group. It definitely out shot my FAL, which isn’t hard to do.



My first group was in the pic was the 10 shot 3 moa. It was a poor group, I was still getting aquatinted with it. The next one was the 10 shot 1.76 group. Not too bad for a 10 shot group. The next two were 5 shot groups. I took my time and was able to tighten them up at .84/.87 moa. The two shot group was when I was still sighting in. The rest are a 10 shot group from my FAL with iron sights.

I gotta say, I’m really impressed with this rifle. It’s definitely my new favorite.

Nice rifle and nice shooting. I had the same barrel and used it on a hunting rifle for my son recently because I swapped to a JP 22”. The Grendel is a great cartridge.

I’m pretty excited about this new rifle. I can’t wait to hit the range again. If I can keep getting consistent sub moa with this rifle I will be extremely happy. I was shooting Hornady American Gunner. I
Was definitely happy with this ammo. It was very consistent and group extremely well. The ammo and barrel are definitely more accurate than I am.

Needless to say I am a big Grendel fan.

I agree the Grendel is my favorite gun to shoot. Mine is actually a piece of junk (barrel wise) but for the first 15-20 rounds she’s as accurate as any has gun I have and I love to shoot it ..... but after a box it goes all to heck !!!

What barrel do you have? I was quite surprise with this Ballistice Advantage barrel. I shot 200 rounds and it held its groups great when it got warm. There was even some times I felt I was pushing it with how hot it was getting and it still grouped great. I also bed the barrel extension with loctite 680. That may have helped.
