New to the Grendel. Far West Texas

Good morning, thanks for allowing me to your group, new to the 6.5 Grendel, finished the assembly and barrel break in, now I’m ready for the fun. Anyone pushing out to 1000? Please let me know.

Several of us have taken our grendels too 1000 yards. I myself have done it with the howa mini I use to own and have done it several times now with my CZ grendel.

I have never taken my Grendel to 1000 yards but 600 is not a problem and have done that with the AR and CZ. These days my longest available range is 300 yards so doubt I will do 1k anytime soon, but there are several members that have gone to 1000 and well beyond remember one video of milk jug hit at 1500.

Our range here at Ft Bliss goes from 200 to 1000. Took it to 100 during the break in and looks promising. 1 1/8 with factory Hornady 123 gr ELD’s. Working on some hand loads now. Any recommendations?

I have taken my 16” 6.5 Grendel to 800 and ran out of elevation on my scope at 450’ ASL. Most scopes run out of elevation at around 800-900 yards unless your well above sea level. I use 20 MOA canted scope mounts on my AR-15’s and have a 25 MOA D.i.p. mount on my Cz 527 American 6.5 Grendel. If your going to shoot past 700-800 yards I recommend a canted mount which can be purchased for basically the same price as 0 cant one piece mounts.
