What type of accuracy are you getting with your 12 Monster barrel? Since Im about to buy a 12-12.5 barrel this week. Im either going with the Monster or something from PF.
If you have any info on accuracy Id appreciate it.

My 12 inch will do 10 shots of wolf fmj at 1 1/2 sometimes a bit under but consistent 1 1/2.
It will do a very consistent 1/2 inch 5 shot groups with my 120 gold dot handloads.
Can ring plate out to 600 yards with out much trouble with my 120 gold dot handload as well.

For me, its hard to say. The reticle I use limits the accuracy of my rig. Works great for what I use it for.
Mine is one of the original group buy barrels from faxon. It is a moa shooter or better?
I dont know how it would compare to the green mountain version.
If you require the utmost accuracy, buy from Precision Firearms, buy a quality piece and BE PATIENT.

No my 12 inch is one of BFT's barrels. My 12.5 inch was the barrel from PF.
It was an even tighter shooting barrel then the 12 inch.

Anyone have any reviews with the 1/7.5 Twist barrels??? I was looking for reviews on them but I haven't really seen any, anywhere.

I've got one of the first 2017 group buy Faxon 12" 1/8 5REE Monster barrels, it finally made its way to me a month ago, having never been in a build or fired. I lapped the receiver and shimmed the barrel.
Pink circled areas are shots taken in the process of adjusting the Swampfox Arrowhead 1-10 scope on its first outing, yellow circles are groups. American Gunner 123gr, 100yds, sea level and 95+ degrees, shooting off a $50 UTG Recon MLOK bipod and sitting in a wiggly seat.
Range went cold after the lower left group, next group after that was with a half MOA right adjustment on the scope, and all shots were in the orange. Shot at least 1MOA for the rest of the day with the AG. Wolf was shooting about 1.5-2.0 MOA. Good enough for what I need it to do, which is HD and Florida hog hunting.

Put my first shots through my monster barrel over the weekend. It's one of the green mountain barrels. I'm running a monster bolt with it and have a yhm resonator on it. All I had on hand was Hornady black and it did not seem to like it. I gave it to a buddy to shoot tomorrow since he has the same can and he's going to run some different ammo through it and compare it to his faxon barreled pistol. Mine originally had a palmetto barrel on it and it was good enough for hogs and deer last year but not fantastic. Hopefully this barrel just needs to find the right ammo.

Yes, but no. I ran a few rounds through it to adjust the gas block but wasn't looking for accuracy at that point. This pistol is going to run suppressed all the time so I need to find a load that works decently that way. Previous barrel was a PSA and it did alright with the Black so that's what I had on hand and it just didn't seem to like it. I just ordered up 4 different loads to try so we'll see what happens when they show up.
Interestingly, my group size got cut in half when I would hand load 1 round at a time into the chamber vs letting the bolt strip it out of the mag. It seems to want to dent the case necks up pretty good.

I picked up a Faxon 12". But, I may build another upper Monster/Saunders/etc barrel to shot just wolf out of since my scope is going on a QD mount, if my Faxon doesn't like steel.

Just got my new barrel from BFT, but I still need a rail n gas block. Plus I dont have any wolf, but by the time I get it built maybe Ill find some lol. Maybe someone will come along soon with results!

I have one of the 12.7" Faxon group buy barrels and one of the 12" Green Mountain group buy barrels. Both are very accurate with 90 gr TNT handloads. Not as accurate with heavier bullets, though. Or maybe I just have not found the right combination. I am happy enough with the TNT's that I have not really attempted to find a good heavy load that groups well.
I have an 18" Faxon barrel that shoots 123 Gr SST and ELD bullets very well so I just use that for the heavies. It does not like the TNT's for some reason. :confused:
