Hello from Ms. New interest in the 6.5 Grendel. Have experience in the AR platform but never the Grendel. Im looking to either build or buy a complete setup. Only use for the Rifle will be Deer hunting. Farthest shot Ill have will be 300yards max. We run dogs in the south so Scope and Red dot option both will be used. Any tips yall let me know. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the clan, HR, from the great nation of Texas! For a looking glass, recommendations would be 1x-6x or 2x-8x kind of thing. There are several goods ones out there. As for toy selections, there are now a multitude of options, it becomes a matter of choice and money. The good news is that you will probably end up with a variety of 'em, just like the rest of us. My first choice in your place would be something on the order of an 11 to 12.5 inch pistol rig for starters, then a 20", then a ....

Cool, I am near Jackson. If you were closer you could shoot a few of mine and decide what you like. I have a mixed bag - 1- 10.5" PSA, 1- 12" Monster Group Buy barrel, 1- 16" Wilson Combat barrel, 1- 18" Wilson Combat barrel, and 1- 20" PSA. I have absolutely love this cartridge with the right bullet it is a whitetail hammer and easy to carry in the field.
