After years of talking about it, decided to build a 6.5 grendel. Looking through posts for any ideas where to start on load development. Got 200 rounds of Hornady Black ELD-Ms on sale to break it in.

Welcome to the forum MS Buckeye. Your intended use will dictate what weight and style of bullet. Once you decide on a bullet you can choose a powder. I assume you built an AR-15 so you want primers with thick cups. CCI 450, CCI 41, BR4, Remington Magnum SR primers or Federal AR primers all have thicker cups. Today I’d try AR Comp, IMR8208XBR, H4895 or Benchmark. I’ve used CFE223, Accurate 2520, Accurate 2230, Xterminator, TAC, 748, H335 and BLc2. All these powders are fine but the first four powders are more stable in fluctuating temperature.
