Yesterday evening, when my girlfriend returned home from work I was in the laboratory(that is what I call my reloading room).I cracked open door, to see if I could smell food, because she always eats when she gets home from work,and I am always down for her left overs.
Anyway, she’s a Tulsa Oklahoma girl,who loves Trump.And Trump was campaigning in Tulsa Oklahoma yesterday. So, she had his campaign speech blasting on the TV in the living room. I am not a big politics guy. I don’t particularly adore Trump. But I hate gun grabbing liberals.
How does this tie in with the second amendment, panic buying and the recent shortages of Firearms and ammunition?
First of all Trump supports the second amendment. If you go back to a year after Trump was first elected, you will notice that most firearm manufacturers reported that sales were low. A.R. Prices dropped!15 parts and complete rifles were in an all time low price point. Ammunition was extremely available and so was reloading components.Everything was affordable and attainable. Personally I was in my glory. It made me very happy to have affordability and availability.
And all this was because there was no threat from the gun grabbing left.Because Trump was in office protecting our Second Amendment rights.And I believe we will go back to this, if Trump is reelected in November. I believe people are panic buying because they’re afraid of looting, but also because they know that the liberals are willing to cheat lie and steal to get their Trojan horse, Joe Biden in office. If the Liberals make it in November you can expect panic buying to continue.Biden and the liberals have already sworn to try and ban A.R. 15’s within the first hundred days of office. Will they succeed? Well, I don’t want to find out.

There will be no battle lines. People will have their homes burned down with them in it at 2 in the morning because of some political comment they made on Facebook. How are all your guns going to save you when you wake up to your kids screaming in terror at your home being engulfed in flames?
It will be a war of shadows and terror. You will never know who is coming for you or when. You may be a target, or you may be ignored. You will not have anyone to strike back at that are doing the shooting, because those types will be keen to cover their tracks. Only those naive enough to voice opinions but not even consider doing harm will be visible to those doing the killing. Or it might be something you would never think would put you in danger, like your religion or skin color. You can never tell what might cause someone to come after you. If you aren't one of the idiots sowing terror, you probably won't even consider that someone would want you dead, until they strike.
And I honestly don't think we can stop it. Oh, we certainly should try. If I am wrong and we can turn this thing around, then we have to do all we can before we turn into another Lebanon, former Yugoslavia or Somalia. It can happen here, and I fear it will.

It takes time and the faster you are going, the harder it is to change course. By the time you see the iceberg, it is too late except to get to the lifeboats. That is the way things like a stock price move as well, small dips in a trend up or down. But unless there is a huge reason to stop the trend, it will generally keep going in that direction.
So we will get a respite in the near future, but it will only be temporary. Don't let yourself be lulled into complacency by hoping that people have finally come to their senses. If you look back five, ten or 25 years, you can see the larger trend and not be fooled by the small dips and rises.

Excellent synopsis, but a very bleak and depressing future we are heading into. It reminds me of an older gentleman from Canada, "I competed with" a few years ago. He was a very competent shooter and a former South African police officer. He told a very familiar story, "about his life and how he escaped such a scenario" you just described. He immigrated to Canada to escape the growing chaos and raise his family in a safe environment . He stated the U.S. was just a few years behind South Africa. I amicably agreed, but never took it too seriously.. Boy was I wrong...The problem is, there is nowhere else to run..I know talk is cheep, but let them come. I have never run from a fight and I will not start now. There are things more important in this life than our selves..If bowing down to insane laws, "directed by a racist communist anarchist cult is the price for life" then it is time to see what comes next... This is an excellent post. I also fear for where we are going. Mostly because i fear for what the world my kids grow up in is going to be like. My outlook is not optimistic either, as i believe both sides are more and more eager to usher this thing in. Unfortunately, we have gotten the government we deserve and i doubt that is going to change in the near future.

Also, this is for home defense, not for practice or competition, and only for a time of crisis. I like ammo, lots of it! But I don't want to be one of those toilet paper hoarders either.

Most shooters say 1000 rounds for each caliber is good.I would say you’d be able to live with that number under normal circumstances .Do you think 1000 rounds Per caliber is enough to get you through the ammo shortage?Especially when you don’t know how long the shortage will last?
And yes I do have a lot of experience with hurricanes (30 yrs),stores running out of supplies,looters ,hoarders and price gaugers. A smart man learns after his first mistake. A wise man learns from others’ mistakes. I would say I’ve done a little of both. For the last 25+ yrs,I’ve stayed prepared with all supplies year-round. Batteries, ammo,propane, bottled water, gasoline,canned foods,easily prepared foods and pet supplies.And I keep all my emergency equipment on hand in running order and my shutters marked and organized for easy installation . I avoid last minute shopping like the plague.And I do this not only for me, I have a woman and pets to take care of.
