seems McGowen barrels will make an AR barrel for you in whatever length, contour, weight etc, probably within reason, that you want.

My son has one it is a shooter but expect a long wait time and customer service not good in his transaction.

i have bought more than a couple of them. i live in the area that makes them. my favorite grendel is a 12" mcgowan on a 2a armament upper and lower. i have it ceracoted in a multi cam pattern. i recently put a night force nx8 i-8 scope. its an amazing shooter. some of my groups would shock you.
i have a couple of their barrels in 6.5 creedmore too. they shoot great. i highly recommend their barrels.

thanks guys. looks like they're a viable option for "non-standard" barrels for the AR as it appears they will build almost any configuration barrel you want.

i was looking at them as well as a few others for a barrel for my new build that wait time though

My bolt gun wears a Carbon Six, which is McGowan's carbon side of the house, so it's a McGowan blank, shoots great.
