Looks great, thinking of going that setup too. Is that a 20" heavy barrel? Do the dimensions match what's on their website? The chassis in your video looks slightly different and longer than what's on their website, but could just be the angle or the variability between actions/barrels.

Using the same load I have managed a 27% increase in accuracy at 100 yards. My sample size, however, needs to be larger.

How is the weight compared to the factory stock (if you have it?). Wondering if i should go this route or not, im just worried that it will mess upp the rifle with to much weight as i mainly use it for hunting. A supressor and scope adds enough as it is. I generaly have to carry a daypack and the rifle for all day and sometimes even with a shotgun, so weight is a concern.

This is a LSS XL Gen 2. The LSS XL (Gen 1 is shorter).

I have a couple howa's in mdt chassis, one is in an original lss that started life at 1 lb 13 oz bare, my machinest found 7 ounces of fat in it though so whittled it down to 1 lb 6 oz and currently a 20" lightweight howa rides in it with talley's a leupold vx3 3.5-10x40 cds, ergo original slim grip, mission first tactical minimalist butt stock and the whole package weighs exactly 6 lb 10.5 oz. Use this one for the kids. My oldest just dropped his first deer last year at 238 yards with it.

I have another in the mdt lss-xl gen 2...they took some notes from the work i did on the first one and there's really nothing to whittle away on these, it weighed 1 lb 12 oz bare, which is great as it's longer and has a wider barrel channel etc. so they were far more efficient. This one has a howa action with a 24" proof research carbon barrel, slabbed action, fluted bolt with hollowed bolt handle, ergo fat grip, magpul ctr butt stock, leupold vx3 4.5-14x40 (30mm side focus) cds in talley rings and weighs exactly 8 lb 3.5 oz.

My only issue with howa's seem to be the magazines, two or three rounds go fine, after that it's a crap shoot whether or not they rest tip downward into the magazine. Would love to hear any solutions to this. They are accurate, love the metal, bolt/trigger/barrel...but the plastic they do is awful, their magazines are awful. A 10 round AR mag is nearly the same length and sleeker.

The old action and scope mounted in an injection moulded Kryptek stock (with action pillars) and with muzzle brake weighed 3.9 kg
The same action with the MDT chassis is 4.2 Kg
The difference was 0.3 kg or +0.66 lbs.
The balance point is in front of the magazine, in the area of the barricade stop if you carry it 'at the trail'.

so for those interested and making comparisons:
1 lb 12 oz (mdt lss-xl gen 2 chassis bare)
4.5 oz (buffer tube w/castle nut - carbine length 6-7 position)
9.0 o (magpul ctr...or for minimalists use mission first tactical battlelink at 6 oz)

I have both butt stocks and since i'll lay prone and like to use left hand to reach back under for butt stock support i prefer the magpul ctr for actually having something to ride in my hand or a rear bag, also i like the adjustment better, locks up better, the mft battlelink is great, a little less solid and harder to adjust but for minimalist build it's great, it just has more trade offs than the magpul ctr

so that makes a total weight of 2.6 lbs for complete stock (chassis with magpul butt stock)

the synthetic stock that just came on my ruger ranch grendel was 1.6 lbs by comparison...so at minumum without folding stock adapter or other rail accessories you'd add 1 lb to chassis convert a ruger, i think howa factory stock is heavier to start
