Can someone direct me to a magazine for my Grendel?

Ive heard 7.62 x 39 mag work well but since this is all new to me I thought I would ask

CPD/Duramag grendel mags is what you want.

Asc/arstoner is ok, most need the front edge ground down to not catch the case.

Elanders just suck period.

Yea I heard 7.62x39 mags work too but I couldn't make grendel work in them at all, best to just buy true grendel mags.

And before it gets asked. There is no factory made grendel polymer mags.

I have great luck with Elanders. Some good luck with ASC. Ditto with A5Blaster on CPD.

I’ve tried 6.5g in various 5.56, 7.62x39 & 5.45x39 mags. These were all well used mags that are reliable with the caliber they were made for.
None of them work as well as my Elander, CPD or ASC 6.5gs.
Best results were with my Brownells straight 20 5.56s with a tilt follower but 8 rounds seemed to be the max for reliable use.
Now I’ve got CPD 26 rnd 6.5 mags and CPD 30 rnd 7.62x39s and they appear identical at a quick glance but the placement of that front rib is critical, and there may be other differences as well. If I could tweak some of my CPD 20 round 7.62x39s for 6.5g I’d do it in a heartbeat but if it’s not 100% I’ve just ruined a good mag.

Hey CPD, how hard is it to tweak your 20s for 6.5g? You’re already doing that with your hicap.
