BCA Upper accept other BCG?

I'm thinking about buying a BCA Upper. I like the side charger they have but wondering if at other Bolt Carrier Groups would work in that upper? Thanks for any help in advance!

Any other side charging BCG will work just fine. Young MFG, Eisenach, Lantac, Precision Firearms, & Fulton Armory will all function.

I haven't looked at these for a while but there seem to be 2 types of side chargers, ones with the handle bolted into the carrier thru the eject port and those that have a left-side handle connecting to the cam pin. Any bcg that mimics the bca style should work. In the case of those with the left-side style you usually only need a special cam pin for it to work with any other bcg assembly.

They have the right side charging which is the one I'm wanting. I've read that Young and a BCA BCG would work in a Cross upper but idk much about either still pretty new to this whole thing!

I’ve done some builds with BCA side charging upper receivers.You can use any ambidextrous side charging BCG. And any AR15 bolt will work in an AR15 side charging bolt carrier.

Do you happen to have any pictures? What side charging BCG's did you use?

They had a hard time finding a BC only. So they purchased a BCG on either BCA or DTT site.I believe it was somewhere and $115 range. And I believe they came w/.223 bolts. So the bolts had to be swapped out too.

Have you built any using a BCA upper and one of the ones you mentioned. I just hate to buy one and not work. To have to turn around and buy something else.

I've owned a couple of the BCA ones back when they had the dual charging uppers (retained rear charging handle as well as the right side charger).

There's nothing wrong with them. I currently have 2 of the Lantac side charging uppers. One with a Young Mfg bcg & one with the Eisenach bolt carrier.

I have a Mega as well with the Young Mfg bcg.

I'm building a pistol build with the CMT upper.

The Lantac is probably my favorite. It works with any handguard & is built like a tank.

I have this side charge upper & BCG from Precision Firearms on my 6.5 Grendel AR. You can also use a standard charging handle if you wish. You can't do that with a BCA upper. It might be above your price range though but if you decide on this unit, you'd have to thermal fit the barrel.

Still haven't heard back from Young Mfg. Emailed Bear Creek to see Idk I could get an answer from them!
