The best lower receiver is the lowest priced one among the mil-spec major manufacturers. I have built AR's for thirty years and recently picked up an Anderson for $38. My grandson said people called it the "poor man's pony", well we built a carbine with it and I must say it is as good as anything I have picked up. Dimensionally perfect, fit and finish perfect. I have also recently built on Aero Precision, and DPMS which is now out of business. All are good. Bushmaster used to be top of the line but they went downhill after Remington shoved it to them. Last Bushy I had the selector hole was way, way off in the wrong place. Other "Bushmaster" parts recently produced by Remington are very poor quality and look like they were made in some third world country. Windham Weaponry is maintaining the legacy Bushmaster quality. Wish they could buy the name back.
