First ten round group with BCA 6.5 Grendel

I mean exactly what I say. Most people I know can shoot moa some of the time, none that are moa all of the time. How often do you see 10shot 1" or less groups posted here on the forum?

People are saying they would never hunt with a gun that inaccurate and it makes me laugh.

I actually could have stopped after the first five, that was the part that was 2 inches, all the rest would have been sub two inches, easily deer hunting capable in my experience. If you look closely, you can tell which five were shot among the ten total.

1 Shot: thanks for the tip on the mag primers.. I've got lots of CCI 250s on the shelf. Upper is coming tomorrow but haven't seen tracking yet from Natchez on the brass and dies. Working on good load for a 7.62X39 upper while waiting on the Grendel stuff.
I've got 11 acres of mountainside w/a 100 yd range, about 20 minutes from my home with a wood heated cabin to shoot from (rain, snow or sunshine). Keeps me off the street and socially distanced????????

Cci450's is what you want not 250's.

A5BLASTER, yep, you're right. I've been loading for the 7.62-39 which takes large rifle primers and I forgot to shift gears. Adding to the confusion of my boomer mind is that mixed in with my Winchester brass (7.62-39) that all takes large rifle primers was one Remington brass that takes a small rifle primer...thanks for pointing that out!

I've got lots of Small rifle magnums too

Pretty certain you mean a CCI450, not 250-which is a magnum large rifle primer. 200’s are kind of soft for an AR-perhaps usable, but would avoid full pressure loads in an AR, for safety sake. CCI 41’s, RP 7 1/2’s and Fed 205M’s work well in my experience.

I have a BCA barreled upper also, haven't been able to shoot it yet.

Hope mine shoots as well. Congrats again and looking forward to more info on it's progress.

Well, I'm sliding deeper into the rabbit hole..no hope for me! The first Bear Creek Armory SS bbl upper shot very well showing some great groups during load testing. Couldn't help myself, and bought another just like it. G2 (the first one is ...........G1) benifited from experience/loads developed in G1 and is clearly tighter shooting. Now a Ruger American Ranch in FDE is on its way.

I'm having some great success w/ surplus powder. WC 846 will be the go-to powder for now. Starting around 25 grains and working up with a chronograph. Have Hornady 100 gr Amax dialed in.

its truly a shame that the owners of BCA cannot get with someone who can chamber their barrels to be better. i think its rediculous that its all about the chambering and they dont spend the extra to make it happen,,,,,rediculous

Congrats on the upper and the groups your getting. I worked on a bca 20” stainless for 2.5 years before throwing in the towel and replacing it with a BA. Again congratulations!
