5mm Grendel

I had put the Grendel down for a couple of years and now that interest has come back around, I'm going to finish up a project that I started almost 4 years ago, a .20 Grendel.

Bill A's interest was peaked when I showed him the 57 grain VLD's back when.

5mm version to shoot 55-57 grain VLD's and the Berger 55 BT.

1. 25" Pac-Nor, 1-8" twist, .936 bull barrel
2. Extended gas tube +2"
3. Side charging handle w AA bolt/carrier
4. Sun Devil billet upper

What type of speeds you looking to get with the 55s?
What company makes the 55-57 VLD bullets in 20 cal? (other than Berger's 55s)
Whats the upper going to be mainly used for...target shooting or hunting.

With that type of powder capacity, the 55s should be over 4000 fps. I'm a .204 Ruger AR shooter, and my 39gr Sierras are doing 3550. This should be WAY faster. Please keep us in the loop on performance once you get to throw some lead downrange. You have a potential winner there.
