Shooting with barrel shorter than handguard

Barrels shorter than the handguard. There are advantages of maximising handguard area in short barrels for sure.

11.5" is a lot shorter than the rig in the video.

I knew a guy who shot his offhand index finger tip off as it drifted up over the barrel. He had his hand on the forward grip of an MP5 and instead of all fingers behind the safety lug he had it in front of it like a trigger for extra support....Be careful.
