Friday the Barrier Defense 16 inch Grendel goes against hogs

Will be trying Hornady 123 SST factory loads against Texas Hog Friday, Saturday and possibly Sunday Morning. Will Post update as more info becomes available.

Friday 1 shot 1 miss not the rifles fault. Saturday 5 Hogs ready for the freezer. Good shots resulted in DRT hogs. A couple of not so great shots slowed the pig down enough even I could put in a finishing shot. Buddy broke a spine with my Grendel at 133 yards. All other shots were in 20 to 40 yard range and offered complete pass thru penetration other than a head shot that entered front of skull exited rear of skull and then went back into the body high on the shoulder. That one did not exit. The factory Hornady 123 SSTs appear to work just fine. Hope to try 129ABLR next trip.
