Shout out to BCM, if you need parts for your build, BCM is where it's at.

I see a lot of parts in build lists, from Anderson to ZEV. There are many quality parts out there. So, how does one decide where to spend our hard earned gondo on the plethora of websites and stores out there? My advice is to find a source of USA made parts that not only look good, but are proven time and time again to perform - even when everything, and I mean everything possible, is going tits up in a hurry. That kind of dependability cannot be monetarily quantified. Then, look for the folks behind those products that stand like their parts - with absolute reliability - behind their product. I have a very short list of sources of parts that will for the foreseeable future remain my first choices. At the top of this list is BCM, new or used.

As if I needed more convincing, here's a story I'd like to share to show why I've been persuaded to post my support of BCM specifically.

I received a 9" BCM KMR rail from a friend recently that had everything with it but the index plate. That's the little metal part that locks the rail in alignment with the upper receiver and keeps the rail from turning under hard use/funky positioning. Here's the kicker. BCM doesn't sell these parts individually on their site. At least, not that I've found. So, I sent them a mail message off the "contact us" link on their site.

Here's my mail message, from Tuesday evening Feb 18, 2020:

Today, (Feb 21, 2020) I got a USPS medium box in the mail with the plate and a new hat. No charge, no payment was even hinted for. WTH guys, I said I'd pay for it! I walked into the house this morning embarrassed like a kid on Christmas.

So, here's what I know. BCM are one of the good guys. Not only do their parts, kits, rifles, and barrels meet my standard, they exceed my expectations; When you add to that this kind of customer support and service, how can a man not brag on them?...

If you need an upper for a build, you cannot go wrong with BCM. If you want to build a legit rifle, look at BCM among the first. If you're planning a list for your build, look at these guys list of available parts. If you need 5.56 or .300BO barrels, these guys know what they're doing. Seriously, they just make stuff right, the way it should be made - and they stand behind it. My next Grendel build will be a PF Criterion dressed almost completely in BCM accoutrements.

That's good to hear. I have one of their charging handles but it will automatically unlock when firing and hit me in the nose. It didn't at first but after probably 1k rounds. Ive never contacted them, never complained. I just replaced it with a geiselle and put it in my spare parts bin. Maybe now i will contact them and see what's up. Thanks for the positive review

BCM makes great products and I use their BCG's exclusively. Mid West Industries, Geissele and SLR rifle works are other companies that have stood by their products with out question. Great to here BCM was a stand up company. Thank's for sharing.

I have lots of BCM parts, most of which came used off the EE. Some came new from the same source. I've never once had something BCM break. I'd expect them to fix something if it went wrong. But this was different. They took care of me, even when they didn't have to. That says more in my book than a thousand warranty repairs completed after something breaks.

I have to agree BCM are first class, I have used their uppers, Barrels, Stock kits and lower parts kits and have never had any problems, The only time I had any problems was when I ordered the wrong parts and they exchanged them at no cost to me. I very good company.

I agree as well. I use alot of BCM parts, all trouble free, highly reliable. Only 2 complaints I've ever heard about BCM is inability to post negative reviews on their website and the bolt carrier issue awhile back where customers were complaining about the tool chatter in non critical area of the bolt carrier. I saw a couple of those and they were cosmetically real ugly. I would have sent them back if I had received one with that degree of chatter too. That issue has been resolved and those that wanted replacements got them.

No manufacturer can afford to allow web based negative comments to be anonymously splattered across their website, that's actually common practice; I get it, but in today's world, there are just too many goobers looking for recognition by being the reason one of the big guys takes a hit...

I saw a few comments on the BCGs lately, and was impressed more on how it was handled. Like you said, the guys that wanted replacements got them, immediately, without question from everything I'm hearing.
