Wayne just called to discuss the input that has been provided. He's using 22ga metal for the magazine and the limit on COAL is 2.45", which is the size of the opening in the action. His magazine will hold 4 rounds. Additional refinements are being made to feed the 6.5 Grendel case and make it a DIY drop in product. Right now the follower feeds but it's not perfect. Wayne has modified one of his actions by slightly changing the approach angle on the feed ramp and that perfected feeding but it's not the complete DIY option that he's striving for. Finally, he's also considering the thickness of the trigger bow. He may be able to thin it some thus creating more space but he doesn't want to degrade durability.

I talked to Wayne via email the other day. He's cautious to mention a release date, but said he hopes for the end of this month. The first run will be slow to ship as he still needs to program in the Grendel Monster for laser etching the floorplate and cerakoting will be done in the customer's choice of color.
