That's right gentlemen after several e-mails through the last few years Ruger finally listened and now has a American Ranch 16 inch just introduced to the line. The Grendel they should have built in the first place!!!!

I heard that Mini 30 Grendel conversions use 6.8 mags. I wonder if a 7.62x 39 and a 6.5 Grendel stock swap would work? After checking a few pictures looks like the Mini Thirty mag sticks out about an inch

Sorry for the confusion. The 7.62x39 American bolt action uses the semi Mini 30 mags. I thought the stock from the 7.62x39 bolt action might allow the bolt action Grendel to use Mini 14 mags. If that helps.

It is the Ranch bolt action. I too have been waiting for Ruger to bring this one out, but in comparison I prefer the a Howa mini to the Ruger American Ranch, so, for now I added to my Grendel’s with a 20” Howa mini..but I just might want the Ruger yet.

I have both, and for me, the Howa is much more reliable, almost impossible to jam, whereas, the Ruger is way too sensitive to how the bolt is run and which ammo is being loaded. IMO!

If I could do over it again. I would skip the Ruger, and go straight to the Howa. YMMV.

Swapping from the AR mag to the Mini 30 mag well is only two bolts.

Yea, but according to another thread Ruger won’t sell just the magwell. But they did confirm it would work IF you could find one.
