Looking for ..16? -mid length - 5/8 threads - not a pencil profile and not a heavy bull barrel either

16? Satern cut rifled barrel. Have 20 and 24? Satern cut rifled barrels that are absolute hammers. Wouldn?t hesitate a minute on that. These are not the Liberty barrels I?m referring to.

If the 16" Monster barrels where still available, it would be a no brainer. My 18" barrel is incredibly accurate. I should have bought two.

One thing I “think” I don’t like about the faxon 16” Gunner barrel , is it’s lightweight profile..

My days of shooting a pencil style barrel would leave me wanting more as after a mag or do , groups opened up ..

How are the Faxon gunner barrels from those who have used them?

I'm not into the politics of ARP's owner, or any here for that matter, enjoy the info/education I get from both forums and have bought barrels/bolts from both also. ARP makes a great barrel for the money, as does BFT, You won't go wrong getting either 16" barrel. The ARP barrel is a tad lighter and about 30/50 fps faster, due to the 3R rifling versus 5R for the GB. Personally my ARP is more accurate but that doesn't mean that your GB barrel won't be as or more accurate than mine as each barrel is as individual as we are. So unless you adhere to us versus them pick your poison, both are about the same price point, and go shootin'. Hope this helps.

I have 2 ARP barrels, both have EXCESSIVE headspace.
