Tested both Wolf 100FMJ and Hornady American Gunner 123HPBT. Roughly speaking, both loads with bare muzzle and with devices had about the same flash signature.
Very good video BFT, makes me want to test a couple of my 6.5 Grendel AR-15’s in low light. I’m kind of curious if there is much change in flash between CFE223, Accurate 2520 and faster powders like H-335, IMR8208XBR, Accurate 2230.
I'm not so sure, Stan. The flash is in my opinion very much reduced from the A2 to the 3 prong. A rather large difference between them. And both do work well from nothing. I'm impressed BFT.

I watched it again. I concur -- the reduction in flash is more than I had thought.
Chalk it up to poor vision. I am blind in one eye, and can't hear out of the other.
I've got a AAC Blackout flash hider (non-suppressor mount) on order. This has long been the number one or two flash hider in all the videos of comparison tests that I've seen.
Saw it on sale and ordered it more on a whim than anything else just to finally see for myself whether the hype is true, or not. And with a 12" 6.5 Grendel barrel.
Will test once it arrives....

Just saw this BFT... ..building the same type of HD and in the Ranger/truck weapon as you have pictured....Just received (this week) my new 12" barrel and bolt....already have the AP upper without FW and 9" S type AP handguard. My lower is AP with a SB3 pistol stock.....I am using a Burris FF2 on my 10.5 5.56 pistol build. The only short coming for me is the lack of a movement on/off switch. But I do like the light wt and lo profile of the Burris unit.

12 barrels are all well and good, but braced pistols could be made illegal at the stroke of a bureaucrats pen.
16 with stock isnt going to be a possible legal liability should your DA decide to prosecute you for using your pistol
SBR would be perfect...assuming you live in a locality that its legal in, and that you dont mind asking the kings permission to have a short barrel.
Youll never have to worry about defending yourself with a 16 rifle.
And the ol A2 flash hider works pretty damned well. Shockingly well actually.
