Greetings Horde,
I have played a bit with the 6.5 Grendel in bolt gun form. just built my first AR and of course i picked 6.5 Grendel. enjoy shooting and reloading and hunting. have most of my life. not great at shooting or hunting, but enjoy them both immensely. appreciate the wealth of knowledge here. looks like 6.5 Grendel is catching on and taking off. i started piddling with the 6.5G ~ 2013 when i couldn't get my Rem 799 7.62x39 to group worth a darn. did a chamber cast and the throat measured 0.323" despite Rem's insistence that they were doing a SAAMI chamber. So i rebarreled it to 6.5 G and have shot it off and on. still working on loads. Work keeps me too busy to enjoy the shooting sports like i would like to. on the other hand i am thankful for being employed. recently working on Alliant Pro Power Varmint loads as the Sierra Manual shows good velocity across the spectrum of Grendel bullet weights. development cycle is slow due to work, but i sure enjoy it. Glad to see the hunter success with this caliber. maybe someday it'll be me too. and the AR platform is totally new to me so there is much to learn and enjoy, all the while shooting the 6.5 Grendel.
