I am getting ready to put together a Grendel AR build and have some concerns with gas block clearance. I had planned to use a Superlative Arms clamp on .936 gas block and the Seekins SP3R V3 15? handguard. Has anyone run this combination or one similar? My concern is that if the rail flexes, it might contact the gas block.
The inside diameter of the Seekins is listed as 1.75?, and the vertical measurement of the Superlatve gas block is listed as 1.647?. I?m mostly concerned with the bottom of the gas block making contact.

It will not touch.I have a BCA upper receiver and hand guard .I installed a heavy Bartlein w/.936 Troy low profile GB.I have barely 1/8 in clearance all around the block.Only thing is I had to mount the M lock rail back one slot further,or it would have touched.

Is the handguard are you using M-Lock accessory compatible (rails & stuff)? I ask, because when I installed a M-Lock Harris bipod adaptor to my MI handguard, one of the screws was too long & made contact with the gas block. I had to grind down the screw a bit to get clearance.

It is an M-Lok. Not sure if I will use a bipod much or just lay it on a bag. I have an Atlas PRS bipod.
