Does any company make a blank sleeve to use in place of the gas block.

Looking to use a blank sleeve in place of the gas block to change from a semi-auto to a bolt/manual operated system. I have a conversation regarding the Kali-key ongoing. I?ve searched the net and have not seen a non functioning gas block or sleeve. Just wondering if anyone knows of a company makes such a device. Thanks Chuck

I can't imagine someone making a non-functional gas block but you might find some sleeve at a hardware store?
You could get a machinist to make one for you but it might be more than you want to pay.
Find the cheapest gas block you can and spin it 180 degrees.

I think there was a guy here or I saw somewhere that turned his gas block 180 degrees and blocked the port.

You could spin it 180 or drive a solid pin in the hole for the gas tube

Thanks for the reply's. I was looking to see if there was a commercially made sleeve/block that would take the place of a functioning gas block. I know all I would have to do is either turn it a little off center or reverse it on the shoulder. It was a long shot. Ricsmall can fabricate one which may be what I do if the socialist ban the ar platform here in Virginia. Many thanks to him for offering his services.

What about just using an adjustable and cranking it all the way closed. Remove the gas tube just to prove the point that it won't cycle no matter what.

I feel for Virginia, born and raised here and this latest blow may be the downturn of the state. NOVA has ruined this state.

My company has options in other states and for the first time in 20 yrs I am considering some of them.

It takes a lot of effort to pull back the BCG when there is no gas. The system needs at least some gas for primary unlocking. Probably the easiest way to demonstrate this is as Cereal is saying, remove your gas tube while leaving the gas block in place. Fire a shot and see how sticky the BCG becomes. It's not much fun doing this more than a couple of times.

Buy a bolt gun and leave your AR alone for when and if the need arises you can handle business. Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Klem. I was going to try this. All of these political changes just got me thinking what to do to save some of my guns. I’ve heard some guns are very hard to cycle by not being a gas gun to assist the unlocking of the bolt. I really appreciate the ideas and suggestions that has been offered. And I’m sorry I even have to even entertain any of these changes. I’m going to just spin my gas block enough to miss align the port to see how it unlocks. Thanks again

I have 3 Grendel Ar's 3 -223/556 Ar's and a Valkyrie all in side charger no gas. I'm behind enemy lines in Commiefornia. The only time I have trouble cycling is with very hot loads with the Grendel, the rest is just pull back and let it go. I now order barrels without gas ports, but I have made quite a few collars to plug the gas port.
