Less weight to be pushed around by the operating gas. Really need a adjustable gas block to see the full effect of the lowmass bcg.

When paired together and gas set right. It makes for a super soft shooting rifle that doesn't move much.

Works so good. I could see the bullet impact at 55 yards this afternoon when my vortex viper pay 1-6 was on a swamp stag I killed. Never lost the deer in my scope during recoil.
