PF entry level upper question

PF sells their entry level upper with Criterion barrel at $850. Anyone have experience with this upper ?
I?m wondering what accuracy levels are being seen.

Criterion makes good barrels.I own several in different calibers.All shoot sub moa.They take a little longer to break in than a Krieger or Bartlein.But,with the right hand load,it can shoot 1/2” groups.
I’d just get the barrel and build my own.W/an $800 budget,you could have a Bartlein or Krieger.But,like I said”Criterion makes good barrels.You’ll be happy w/it.

I'd build my own as well. $850 for an upper doesn't strike me as entry level, although I see that it is much cheaper than their other uppers.

A Krieger is $690. How do you buy the rest of the parts for $110 ?

OP. Mark will have that barrel shooting great. If I remember correctly they hand lapp each barrel. I know they do all the chambering. They just use the blanks you get their hard work in that price tag.

You would be hard pressed to build as good a upper for the price.

Marks empty level gear is way past rack grade stuff you can get for 400 bucks.

This. That 800 dollar build is hand finished, lapped, chambered, and ready to rock. No adjustment needed, no paste to fill, nothing to tighten. It will shoot, or he will take it back. I'd be willing to bet it'd shoot better than most other 800 uppers you can buy, even with that Criterion junk... heh "junk", "entry level". Come on, Mark!

That $850 upper is looking better all the time. Pricing components, and me building it, it seems a better way to go to have Mark build it. I have built (assembled) a few, but I would like this one to be as good as possible. Not that mine were not, but you know what I am saying. Certainly l don?t see how using a Krieger barrel comes in at this price as was suggested before.

I would call him first and confirm he has what you want in stock and ready to ship otherwise you could be waiting a very long time after you have paid him for it, As for the discount I would confirm the price and then ask him about the discount as he does not offer the discount to everyone.
