I'm not sure how much he weighed alive, but we have 105 pounds of meat (no bones) in the freezer. The factory ELD-M dropped him midstep at 125 yards.

Nice. Good job sir. We have black bears in my state. Some very very big ones. Only problem is we can hunt them. Heck can't even legally defend yourself if one attacks you in my state.

But it's good to know that if I need to drop one to protect myself my grendel will do the job.

Thanks guys. That little Howa is great to hunt with and shoot. It's short, comfortable and accurate. It just took a lot of time and effort to get it that way. It feels and sounds like shooting a 22LR but hits like a 30-30. This is my second year hunting with it, but first year with the suppressor. In the past two years it has taken multiple skunks, coyotes, deer and bears, all without fail.

I have a second bear tag this year so I hope to get another one as well as a deer later in the fall.
