Now the question is, what if you move the mag spacer to the front, slide the spring and follower rearward, (it’s not captured like a AR follower on mag rib grooves) how much feed lip trimming would be necessary? Hmmmmmm....
A nice walk in the woods helps me relax and relieves tension....
The fact I'm dragging a shovel and a body should be irrelevant...

I'm wondering if the 6dasher mag is the same over all length as that 308 mag?
If so then you might be on too something, moving the block to the front so it sets under the shelf and feed ramp and positions the bullet tip out in the clear for proper feeding.
I will make a few calls to MDT and see what I can turn up.

Ok just back from MDT's website. The 6br mag is the same oal messurments as the 308 mag.
But I belive the 223 polymer mag would be the better route. It allows loads as long as 2.500 but when comparing the physical size to the 308 mag the 223 polymer mag is smaller.
MDT says it's works with the CDI bottom metal.
Might be a simple as a few passes of a grendel case wrapped in heavy grit sand paper on the feed lips and bam working mag set up.
I will add this too my ever growing list of projects down the road.

Me too. I've been pondering off and on 10 round metal mag for a mini for years now. I would love a CZ 527 or Howa mini in a nice wood stock setup like that. Only thing that keeps me from getting one is magazines.
Howa or CZ mini with Rock Creek or Bartlein barrel, 6mm wildcat in a custom wood stock like the CZ MTR but made out of black and white ebony wood......... drool!!!!!

By cutting down the follower and the floorplate it is possible to get an easy 7 rounds in a standard Howa Grendel magazine.

It is possible to make a flush fitting BDL style bottom metal and magazine which would hold 4x cartridges. The price is going to be more than the original rifle and unlikely to get many sales so it is not worthwhile investing the time in finishing the design.
