BCG not holding back with some powder

First off, I am using an adjustable gas block. I "tuned" it using some American Gunner and Hornady Black.

When I reload with IMR 8208 XBR I have zero issues cycling from min to max published loads and the BCG will hold back on the last shot with almost every combo I have tried so far.

When I reload with H335 I have zero issues cycling from min to max published load but the BCG will typically close on the last shot.

I am using a Group Buy 18 inch Barrel and Wojtek gas block. If i was to guess, I would say the gas block is opened up between around 1/2 way. Stock Buffer tube and weight from Areo Precision lower.

IMR 8208 XBR is my main powder at this time and H335 is #2

So before I start fiddling with my gas block, has anyone else notice tendencies like this?

What bullets are you shooting with each powder, 8208/H335, and load grains...?
Sometimes a lighter bullet will not cycle as hard as the 123's.
Another thought is if you want to shoot the (x) bullet with the h335 and 8208, you'll need to adjust the GB for the lightest load and then the others will cycle, although they will have a touch over-gas.

So far I have loaded both powders with: 120gr MatchKing, 123gr MatchMonster(Nosler CC), 100gr Match Monster(Nosler CC), 100gr TTSX, 120gr TTSX.

I have just worked from published min to max. I have enough data that I think I can start narrowing down a good nodes but wanted to get the GB dialed in first.

120MK and 123MM are precision work, 100MM I think going to be more blasting ammo, TTSX are hunting. Having the TTSX a little over gasses for reliability would be fine.

If the 100's are the ones not fully locking back on empty then I'd say not abnormal, need to open up the adjustable GB some to allow them to cycle correctly.
My 100 ttsx shoots with the XBR pretty well, 16" and 20" barrels, locking back as they should, but I've got them open enough to do it.
Now yours is a separate barrel so it's a matter of finding what settings will work for you.
