Anyone use one? Does it use a carbine or rifle buffer & spring?

I've got two of them, they work pretty well and I believe it's a carbine spring. The have a small captured spring installed behind the end plug that the spring fits against. The plug is here in with a single screw that should get a little thread sealant.
