Ruger 556 barrel nut and delta ring and end cap?

Ruger 556 barrel nut and delta ring and end cap?

My cousin upgraded his ruger 556.and he gave me the barrel nut and end cap and the delta ring which screws on..plus the A2 front sight.will these parts fit on any AR15?

Pics would help, but IIRC the A2 front sight is proprietary. As for the other items, not sure as I’ve not fondled the Ruger AR.

Your cousin should likely also have a hand guard leftover, as well,

The fact that he upgraded these very components says that the Ruger has some measure of compatibility already established. Unless, of course, he upgraded with Ruger proprietary components. Sad


Do you already have a receiver, gas tube and barrel? If so, it should be a simple matter of assembling them for a test fit.
If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

He gave me a handguard to.but it’s for a carbine.and I have a 24” barrel ordered.dont have a gas tube yet.and was wondering if AR would look right with 24” barrel and 2 sight and handguard.or just go with a A2 handguard and get a gas block

Ok, so you're going with a 24" barrel. How it looks with iron sights is purely subjective, so that is up to you. The gas system on your barrel - do you know if it is Rifle Length? Mid Length? Magpul has some MOE hand guards for the longer gas systems for short money that will fit an A2 front sight.

What is this rifle's intended job? Range Toy? Hunting? Long Range Shooting? All the above?

Are you going only with iron sights? If hunting or long range, then you're likely going to want optics (unless you have "die audleraugen" (the eagle eyes).

If accuracy at distance is important, allow me to suggest going with a free float hand guard for your 24" tube. AR's with delta rings and end caps tend to shift their POI as you apply varying pressure to the hand guard, which tends to deflect the muzzle.

I was going to go for more of the military issue look.it is a rifle length gas system.and I might go with free float handguard like you suggested and get a regular gas block with out the A2 sights.and probably be more of a coyote gun
