Hmmmm....why not a Savage MSR10? Barely larger than an AR15. Already has the right bolt head for Creed .257.

I like the MSR-10, but there is still a noticeable bulk/weight to it like with the DPMS GII.

The goal is to have an optimum balance between weapon weight, recoil, and downrange performance from a receiver set that feels exactly like an AR15.

With this 131gr ACE, even from shorter barrels in the 16-18" range, you can have the same wind drift as a 6.5CM 140gr class from 24" barrels.

Do you think that new long-mag/receiver set like MDWS is talking about, would do it for this quarter-Grrr?
Seems to be otherwise AR-fitting stuff except for those pieces...
Maybe this was covered before, I've been out of the loop a bit b/c of Verizonfios/65G server issues. They don't seem to like each other nowadays...

I bought an Apache Gun Works 25-06 barrel for a Savage which I haven't installed yet. I will post results when I shoot it.

Maybe this was covered before, I've been out of the loop a bit b/c of Verizonfios/65G server issues. They don't seem to like each other nowadays...

I have FIOS and have had zero issues. Maybe it's local. If it was over the weekend I may have been working at that time.
