Where are yall getting mags. For those Grendel's

I found and ordered my upper today 1 .7. 2019 But it seems that shipping on mags at the places I looked cost more than the mags.
What's a good mag and where did you get yours.

Brownells has free shipping no minimum code VBM right now

I run elanders 17s and CPD 26s no issues.
If you’re reloading CPDs will run slightly longer rounds, elanders are made of heavier gauge steel.
I think right now elanders are the only option for a 20 round sized mag but CPD has been teasing a 20 rounder for a while.

I have gotten them from different places but the last place was Midway USA. They were their AR-Stoner brand BUT I am positive they are made by ASC. They function without a hitch in both of my AR Grendel's. I bought one Elander to start with and don't get me wrong they are great mags but I could almost get two ASC/Stoner mages for the price of one. One other thing I discovered is with the Elander mags you can not load a cartridge over all length as long in them as you can in the ASC/Stoner. This became Important one my rifles because to shoot it's best it needed the bullet seated closer to the lands than the Elander would allow but was fine in the others. Midway usually runs a free shipping with orders over $49. If memory serves me these mags come 5, 10 and 24 round. I have the 5 and 10 round mags. The Elander I got only holds 4 rounds. For bench shooting and deer hunting I prefer the shorter 4-5 round mags.

You weren't on ammoseek when you put anything into a cart. Whatever you find on ammoseek, to be able to order it, means going to the vendor's website. My point is that ammoseek wasn't the problem with high shipping as ammoseek doesn't actually sell magazines, ammo, etc.

Can confirm that the ASC and stoner 10rnd mags have been 100% reliable in all 3 of my builds. They aren't intended to be defensive guns, so 10rnd mags have been my preference for size/weight.

I have got several of the 17 round E-landers from LaRue. $6.95 1 day shipping within Texas.
However I have had them show in stock when I ordered them and then show back ordered when you back and check on the order.
If you you are reloading and want to load your OAL a little long the E-landers are probably not for you.
You can load 2.260 but not much more.
I always take a dremel to the E-landers as soon as I get them and smooth out the edge where they eject otherwise the brass will hang on the sharp lip. Load them up and let them sit for a while and they work good after that

You seem to be dancing around this quite a bit. Exactly what site are you talking about, which vendor, has the terrible shipping cost? Many vendors are represented on Ammoseek.

I’m currently running a hi cap E lander and a AR stoner 5 rounder. Both of them are working great. I think I’ll purchase a few more AR stoners for range work.

I've bought e lander's10 and 17 rds, from la rue when I bought my last trigger. They had the best price but don't be in a hurry for them. Have plenty now.

Brownells and midway will have the fastest ship times but will be a few dollars more.

So comes down to how fast you need them and how tight your budget is.

I have 3 ASC 25 rounders that have been fine so far, and 1 D&H 10 round that works fine. Both hold the advertised capacity. I have 2 more ASC 25 rounders that I haven't tried yet.

Just curious, Are the mags too cheap or is the shipping to high? I got mine from primary arms.

I don't know about now but back in late November 2018 I ordered a scope from Primary arms and did get free shipping on the scope BUT they charged me TN sales tax. I know there was a "NEW" law that on line purchases were supposed to pay sales tax for the state that the purchase was going to but Primary Arms is the only one that has charged me tax. The scope was on sale but with the tax I only ended up saving about $10 because TN sales tax is almost 10%. We have no state income tax. We say even our drug dealers pay tax in TN because if you purchase anything legally like food, clothing etc. you pay tax.

Ordered a 5-round Stoner with some parts from Midway. Glad to hear they work well. Will add a couple of 10s eventually, but I mostly intend to shoot five-round groups, so no need for the high-capacity stuff.
