Has anyone used these. I just saw some in a LGS.
They have the AK curve to them. States 28 rd. capacity.
Better than the 26 rd regular curve 6.5 mags.
Which I have never been able to get 26 rds to work at all.

They are all I use in high capacity grendel mags, they only hold 26 rounds, 27 and they won't work properly.
All of mine had to have the trap door side feed lip tweaked for proper feeding after that they have room perfectly.
My first 2 I bought locally and they were pure trash, we destroyed them by useing them as broadhead targets, CPD replaced them sight unseen when I emailed about all the problems I was having with my first 2. The ones they sent and the ones I have bought since then have all been good too go after a lil feed lip tweak.
Again they are not 28 round mags they only hold 26 rounds unless CPD has changed the design since I last bought some.

The 6.5 Grendel E-Lander mags hold 24 rounds and ASC and early C Products hold 24 rounds but are advertised as 25 round mags but they count the chambered round. I have not used any of the CPD 28 round mags in 6.5 Grendel.

I'm pretty sure the C Products mags were originally marketed as 28 rounds, but will only hold 26-27 rounds. They now market them as 26 round capacity, but many websites selling them still list them as 28 rounds.

Do you mean the ejection side, i.e. the right-side feed lip? I would be interested to know what you did exactly. I have three C-Prod Grendel mags. All 10-rounders. I have only used one so far. Seemed like it didn't always pick up and chamber a round. Granted, the Upper and the magazine were brand new at the time.
I don't plan to blaze ahead with modding my magazines without testing them thoroughly first. But I the issue occurs with any of them I would like to know a possible remedy.
Thanks.

Yes sir, ejection port side.
I prevent the feed lip so it would hold the round with a lil more nose up postion, that feed lip was holding the rounds on that side so the primer end of the round was above the bullet end.
Just use a pair of needle nose plyers to slowly bend up the section of feed lip that needs to be fixed to make it run correctly.
Should be some YouTube vids out there as well.

My ASC mags hold about 22 and feed reliably. I just put 20 rds in them. I had one that just hung up all the time. I just threw it away.

Stay away from their 5 round mags. I have two and theyre both terrible. Feed lips werent straight, spring was waaay too tight. I had to force the 5th round in, and the spring was so strong that even when I only loaded 4, I had feeding issues like crazy. The feed lips also marrec the brass something fierce. I shelved these and got a 10 round asc mag. It has worked flawlessly. Not a single feeding or cycling issue, and the brass looks way better too.

Thanks for the explanation. I just looked at mine. My two new ones have been stuffed with a full load of rounds for a couple of weeks now. The right side rounds don't seem to have a negative pitch that you described. So I will see how they run.
And I'm happy to report that the springs aren't overly stiff. I wonder why the 5-rounders are like that. Maybe they have a block in them compressing a 10-spring to start with.

Didn't even know they made a 5 rounder, since the smallest I use is the 10 rounders.

My C Products mag only holds four rounds as C Products and ASC count the chambered round in their total advertised capacity. Due to poor quality control some mags might actually hold five rounds. Same situation with the ten round mags, mine only hold nine. Some people trim the legs on the follower to help accept the extra cartridge. The four round mags has a bound compressed spring to take up space to limit the capacity.

Strange all my 10 rounders hold 10 rounds in the mag just fine.
Maybe they did a spring or follower redesign along the way. Now they still advertise the high cap mags at 28 but if you put 27 in them they won't feed properly put 26 and they run fine after a lil feed lip tweak.

Here is a picture of an ASC five round mag spring where the follower was shortened. The lower follower and spring are from a ten round mag, follower unaltered. You can see how the lower portion of the five round spring is bound together. The ASC mags I purchased have been a few years ago so the current production mags could be different.
The C Products mags I purchased in 2012 and C Products was taken over and became the current ASC (Ammunition Storage Components). I do not own any of the currend CPD (C Products Defense) magazines.

I've only seen them for sale. I was just going by what was said above. Where I live, 10-rounds is the max, so I see no need to short myself any more than that. But for my kind of shooting with my Grendel, 10 is fine anyway.
But to add, my three CPrd mags all hold 10 rounds without a struggle. The spring tension feels quite 'normal' for a mag of that size.

I have two of the E-Lander ten round 6.5 Grendel mags and they hold ten rounds and have been reliable. Only disadvantage with the E-Lander is they are little heavier because of thicker steel body with the weld in the front which reduces useabe cartridge overall length. With reloads you can load cartridges a longer with ASC mags.

Roger that, I use the Cproducts ten rounders and window it to hold 5 really long handloads are 10 factory rounds

I tried a CPD 28 rounders. It functioned poorly. It went in the garbage.

I haven’t been in 6.5 Grendel long and started with E-lander 17s and a CPD 26 round.
Only had it loaded up to 24 rounds but it functioned fine in my PSA 12” upper.
Overall I prefer the E-lander mags just cause they’re made of heavier gauge steel and have good stiff springs. But I’ve run CPDs in 7.62x39 for years and they’re the best option in that caliber. I think the 24 round E-landers are available on AA’s site now. But they don’t have the curve that CPDs have and that’s a plus in a tapered cartridge.
I think geometry is key and what works in my rifle may not be best for yours. I’d try both and see what runs best.

I have 3 of these mags i bought a few years ago .. They have been reliable mags. The extra curve got annoying to look at so i went back to 24 rounders.
