To be fair I don't believe PSA ever advertised them as 1 MOA or otherwise, there are no accuracy guarantees with any of their products.
Your experience mirrors my own. I've done quite a few small accurizing tweaks and nothing made a noticeable improvement. Break in over time might help, but that's a long road to go down with a nitride barrel.
My plan is to go through a couple hundred rounds of Wolf then group it again.
The odds of most people to get Wolf ammo to group under 1.5 is spooky high. That is the best my high end upper ever grouped it. Undersized bullet at .262 in a .264 bore. The rifling will have an impact also (worse) if it's a 5R (I think that is the one).
SST is another bullet that is picky about what barrel it gets shot out of.
Hornady ELD, American Gunner, or Federal 120 OTM are your best bets. If you make your own, you can tune it better.
After cleaning the barrel and following PSAs break in procedure I was able to get my upper shooting in the 2.5 MOA range with Hornady ELD ammo. I will say the first two rounds were always under 2 MOA, maybe the light barrel just doesnt like getting warm????
Either way, I was confident enough to shoot a deer at 320 yds this afternoon. It hit right where it was supposed to and deer only ran 40 yds.

Of course not. I called to ask if there was anything I could do to improve accuracy before returning the upper. Im hoping with more shooting the accuracy keeps getting better.

I bought both a stainless and a nitrite version of these. I’ve only shot the nitrite gun so far and was getting groups in the 1-2” range @ 50y (off the bench with an S&B Polar in a Geissle mount). I tore it down a few days later and found that the barrel nut was torqued obnoxiously high, there was a quite a bit of slop between the upper and the barrel extension, and the flash suppressor was tightened until the crush washer was flat. Prior to reassembly I cleaned up the chamber and feed ramps a little although they weren’t terrible out of the box. I also lapped the upper and reassembled with Loctite 620 torquing the barrel nut to a much more reasonable value (I did the same with the flash suppressor). I still have a little work to do with the bolt/BCG but I won’t get crazy with either. Due to what I found on the nitrite gun, I preemptively went after the stainless upper and found it to be built in the exact same manner.
I’m hoping that this little bit of attention tighten the guns up some but don’t have crazy expectations either. I’m essentially looking for a lower cost alternative that can be made to shoot well with minimal effort. If a barrel R&R and some quick polishing can do that for me, I’ll have a winner. Now I’m just waiting on some decent temperatures to get back out to the range.
What type of “accurizing” are others doing with these? Any really promising results yet?

Got it togather. Was at the range today 1x6 PA scope it was good but. I just got a nikkon 4x12 black friday day deal thinking about using that. Using wolf and limted to 100yrds. In the spring Im joining a range that goes out 400 yrds. Would This be a better chioce

I would say if you're primary purpose for the rifle is shooting paper and steel at the range then a 4-12 would do the trick.
IMHO that PA 1-6 is perfect for a 12" grendel because of its versatility. The 1x for close quarters and the acss reticle being able to reach out to 800 yrds without any adjustments is pretty nifty.
I bought the 12" SS upper. The targets are at 100 yards with a PA Raptor 1-6.
Instead of the over torquing the other guys mentioned, I had a tiny bit of wiggle in my barrel when I got home from the range.
Maybe I caused it when I put on the linear comp, didn't notice any at the time. It was an easy install.
I had a little burr in the crown also, took it off with a felt cone and a touch of polish at low speed on the Dremel.

I’ve had a chance to shoot my 12” PSA Nitride 6.5 Grendel today. My groups are improving and I think a lot of it is I’m learning how to shoot this pistol. I got a couple of groups less than 1” with brass cased ammo today. With Wolf 100 grain FMJ the cases landing on the ground in a pile is almost as good as the groups on paper. Even with my practice I’m still getting 3” or larger groups at 100 yards. Realistically I may see some 2”-2.5” groups at 100 yards with Wolf if the stars align but this ammo throws a lot of fliers. The Wolf steel cased ammo would be great with a quality bullet.
With my practice I’m satisfied with the accuracy with brass cased ammo but Wolf steel cased will likely be used for shooting steel or CQB drills. I think I have a good zero on my 1-6 Vortex Strike Eagle and it seems to be a pretty good match for this pistol. The PSA 12” Nitride has still functioned 100% with Faxon, ASC and C Products mags. I’ve probably shot at least 200 rounds through the pistol but haven’t kept track.

I shoot my 12" PSA upper only with a can on it. I have the adjustable gas block turned all the way down and it functions as smooth as silk: light recoil and lock-back on last round.
This actually surprised me because I thought the gas block would shut off when turned all the way in, but it didn't.

The gas block should shut off when screwed all the way in. Your can must have enough gas blowback to cycle the bolt far enough back to lock, kinda cool, must be a smooth impulse.
