Brass stop at the range

What are you using to catch your brass while on the range. Getting tired of looking around for it all the time. Was thinking of just putting a cardboard box on the side.

I use a Tactical Brass Recovery brass catcher for range and field work. They are pricey but are excellent products that work very well and the company stands behind them if you manage to have a problem with it.

With that said, prior to that, I had fashioned a brass deflected that stood out about 3" from my rifle's ejection port. It was just a piece of curved kydex that attached to the rifle's side rail with an old scope ring. The kydex was screwed into the holes tapped for the top half of the ring. This was not durable enough for the field, but worked well at the range, dropping the brass on the table just to the right of the gun.

You can just use an old cardboard box as well.

I use the caldwell pic rail brass catcher. Never had a problem with mine. Some negative reviews about the material getting a hole in it.

I've used mine for past 3 years without any complaints. Can also screw into tripod for offhand/pistol shooting.

I made one from a mesh laundry bag, a wire coat hangar and a tabletop camera tripod.
Just pulled the drawstring, cut the wire coat hanger in the middle of the bottom and fished it thru the edge where the drawstring was, then cut a slit on the other side and twisted the ends of the coat hangar wire together. There’s a few videos out there on how to make one.

I stand behind my Jeep with the rear window and tailgate open. It gets me to clean the Jeep a little more often

I use this on my blackout but with a one piece scope mount on my grendel and being right over where I have it mounted on the other I don't think it will work for me. But I haven't looked terribly close at the unit. Is the rail mount adjustable where I could move it more forward or backward?

The attachment bracket on the wire frame is movable on its wire frame, take the bag off and it's held in place by a few small screws, loosen and move it to help get the correct postion.

At the range I use a milk crate lined with a old towel. Handy to carry ammo and gear to the line too.

Caldwell pic rail catcher also. I have an adapter on all my rifles, works great but did get a hole in the mesh. I safety pinned it closed lol. I'm about due for a new one but this one's caught a lot of brass.

I have the Caldwell pic rail and Velcro loop brass catchers.

Some of my ARs have optic mounts which make using the pic rail one impossible.

This model fits tighter to the optics for me so that it does not leave a gap against the receiver. The Caldwell stood out away from the receiver and a shell or two would drop out here or there, but the TacStar mates up nice and tight.
