Yes cooler and cleaner. I ditched DI long time ago. All my AR15 556's and 300 AAC (sig mcx) are piston

Good deal. I loathe cleaning weapons. Perhaps I need to look stronger at piston equipment, but I’m afraid in this market I’d lose my butt on selling DI tools.

This is my group with wolf 100gr. My match ammo is still on order.

Had a chance to get down the range again to put another 200 rds thru it without any issue. If you build one, I recommend replacing the stock op rod spring with this https://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/re...?rrec=true instead (stock spring is short and weak)

My 18” BA barrel likes the Black also
