10" Grendel barrel

Has any one tried a 10" barrel on a 6.5 Grendel SBR or pistol? Would a 1 in 7 twist make any difference?

Alexander Arms did run some shorter than 12". I can't remember the specs but it worked. Thread in here somewhere.

Here is a thread where AA sold a 10.5” 6.5 Grendel. This is the shortest 6.5 Grendel barrel that I remember being produced without being special order.

Thanks for the links. I ask because X-Caliber has several short Grendel barrels on sale for $168. One 10" marked type 1 bolt, the rest not stated. http://www.x-caliber.net/in-stock

AA's short barrels are 11" these days, but I would have to question myself wanting a type-1 bolt of the xcaliber.

Like I said just one stated type1. No bolt type stated on the others. Odd

I emailed XCaliber, all barrels are type 2 unless specified as type 1.

I have one of the original AA ones, purchased early on presale price. They were supposed to be 10.5 but changed to 11. I’m pretty sure they were all 11. I like mine.

Xcaliber also states if you don't get your bolt from them, they won't warrent y the barrel if there is a defect that effects it's accuracy.

I would avoid them myself but it's your cash.

i have several barrels from xcaliber. they all shoot sub moa. i drive past their shop at least one a week but have never stopped. my friend buys the barrels then sells me what works. i will try to stop soon and talk to them about short ones---like 8"-10".

Hope there sub moa. Ordered a 24" 224 Valkyrie with a matched Rubber City bolt on their 40% "in stock" sale.
