My M1 Garand and one of my Grendels must have been messing around. A brand new Springfield Armory Loaded M1A showed up in my gunsafe yesterday.

I'd love to see Ruger make that! I'd buy one.

I'm sure you know that the mini-30 is 7.62x39 and there is at least one company that rebarrels them in Grrr. Target grade barrel and not outrageously expensive. http://www.accuratemini14.com/

Lot of us have had new family members show up. (roo roo[SIZE=2]) Becky came home last night. Tossing factory 147gr 6.5 ELD ammo at 2900fps. Going to see how she does today.[/SIZE]

My late 1990's CMP service grade

IIRC,....Late 1944 or early 1945 springfield

back then, they were $275 "without wood" I bought the walnut from a gunshow vendor for $50

best money I've ever spent.

Its a loaded wood and steel 308 M1A with the carbon steel barrel. NM sights, NM medium barrel, NM trigger job. Nice wood also. Came with a nice padded carry case also.
