Thank you Sir, I think Lone Wolf is the outfit I was asking about. That name sounds right anyway. Whoever it was there were a couple of 527s on the old board that had really light weight custom stocks. It looks like Lone Wolf could make a very light weight stock (sub 1# easy).

FYI - You can buy the B&C Varmint Kevlar stock directly from CZ (for $285). HS Precision made the stocks for CZ Varmint Kevlar originally, and they still sell them as well.

Yes you are right, you can get a cz 527 stock made by B&C from CZ.. I mis spoke. I ment to convey the idea that while B&C makes a CZ 527 stock, B&C wont sell a 527 stock to the public.

And good news on CZ bolt handles. Custem Reloading tools emailed mes and said that they are in the process of now makikng CZ 527 SS bolt handles and expect to have them ready in 30 days or less. I will probably buy one andsee how it fits.

I'm at SHOT right now, and I'm going to talk with CZ tomorrow about a production offering of the 527 in 6.5 Grendel of course. I think they would sell more of them in Grendel than .223, 7.62x39, or anything else really in that action. They are made for each other really.

I went to CZ's booth today and asked the guys who make these decisions about producing a CZ527 in 6.5 Grendel, and I was told:

"We'll probably do a 6.8 SPC before we do a Grendel." Someone needs to be fired. That was the dumbest thing I heard this show, to be honest. I can't think of a more senseless decision really, considering they already have the bolt face for it, and the benefits you really can see from running the Grendel at higher pressures in that action.

They will need to make a new bolt face, and the mag-length of the 527 will limit what bullets they can use in the 6.8, so wh even think something like that? Especially when you look at brass availability and quality, bullet selection, which now opens up to the 140gr class of bullets in that action running at 6.5x55 Swede velocities, and you have a super-light rifle with big rifle performance. Some people just don't understand their market potential I guess, and can't be told. That was a real shocker to hear them say that.
