Criterion Hybrid Barrel Feedback

I guess it's to late to matter but, I grabbed a 6.5 hybrid barrel from Brownells today. Any negative experience with Criterion barrels?

I know barrels that PF makes with their blanks get good reviews.

Like the profile of that barrel, almost the same as my JP barrels just a lil heavier.

Does it come with matched bolt?

If it does 299 for barrel and bolt is a good price.

Did you get the rifle gas or mid length?

No bolt. Did use a $30 off coupon w/ free shipping. I got the rifle length gas.

That's not bad at all.

Rifle gas seems to be a good setup for me on my 18 inch jp barrels, put a adjustable gas block and lowmass bcg and scs system and it purrs like a kitten.

My 18" Criterion RLG hybrid from brownells is an excellent barrel. Chrome lined, cleans nice and shoots straight. couple years old

Barrel came in already. Ordered Wednesday at 4:00 PM.

I'm pretty excited about this upper build. I'll be in and out of town several times over the next month. May take longer to put together than I want.

I've been curious about the Criterion 18" rifle length hybrid barrels. Looking at the photos at Brownells, they appear to have a treatment or different material at the throat. Since you have one in hand, which is it? Thanks.

The barrel extension appears to be a phosphate finish. The chamber, throat and bore are stainless.
