A link to a news station's video feed of a bunch of illegal fireworks in Oakland has gone over my head...
If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?

Sorry Bout the confusion.
The point is that Oakland residents are very close to living in a gun free city. Fireworks are already been banned for some time. The video illustrates the challenges law enforcement will have to work with if the city adds even more restrictions to firearm ownership.
