I just ordered a B&C Tactical Medalist Style 2 Stock for my Remington 700 SPS Tactical. I need to replace that worthless Houge Overmold stock that came from the factory.

I have one on my Savage FP10 and it was a huge improvement over the original.

With the houge overmold on a bipod, you can make the barrel swing back and forth about an inch or so just by squeezing the pistol grip.

I too have replaced a few hogue over molded stocks with B&C stocks from stockys. I like them. I have even got them from stockys in custom LOP and camo. I once called B&C to try and special order- they told me it would be quicker and cheaper to special order through stockys. Only problem I ever had with a B&C stock was I could not get one to fit a 96 (made in 1897) mauser. I say "good value for the money".

Yes, I've been happy with them. I have one on a Remington 700, and just recently slapped one onto my Savage. It's a good stock, and their priced right too.

I installed the B&C stock on a Mauser 98 that I built from scratch. It's a long action custom tuned by Gruning Precision. The 20" barrel is a Hart chambered in 308 with a muzzle break. It has a crisp 2lb Timney trigger. I also had the stock trued to the rifled action and glass-bedded. I've taken numerous deer out to 700 yds. The stock is an excellent choice.

Mutt - I have a budget "precision/hunter" project I am working on right now with a B&C Sendaro stock on a Remmy 700 that started life as a 24" VLS behemoth. Lets just say it will look a lot different when its finished. I did do a bit of sanding on the barrel channel, but otherwise everything appears to fit fine.
