Recommend me a 20” sub MOA barrel

I agree, Bartlein makes superb barrel blanks but they don't do AR drop-in's. If you want a Bartlein then you have to source a gunsmith to finish the blank. And not just crowning and chambering, barrel profiling and gas port drilling as well.

I have ordered a 20in McGowen barrel in 6.5. Should have it this coming week. If you read the fine print he only chambers in saami.

How does the Satern cut rifled barrels compare to Krieger, Bartlein, Shillen, Lilja, Jp barrels?

I agree with Klem, and would add Bartlein barrel and bolt at 435 with 3 month wait.

I ordered my PF Bartlein 20” in mid Jan and still don't have it, figured it would take longer than 3 months based on some of the reviews. Sure hope it's going to be worth it!

Here is the review I wrote.
"I had this barrel on back order and lucked out. Received last week. Very nice looking barrel. The chamber is nicely polished and is supposed to be SAAMI spec. The bore is cut rifled and looks great. Factory Hornady ELD Black will drop out of the chamber when turned up. The gas block area is polished for a better seal. Overall a very nicely made barrel. I installed it on an Aero Precision upper. It shoots great. Easy sub MOA groups without trying. It functioned perfectly on a rifle lower. If you want a premium Grendel barrel this one will do it."

I was shooting a 2.5" group at 300 yards, This was with my 223 Wylde 20". After I had this done and reattached the barrel The gun became a tack driver and I was within 1" at 300 yards 30 rounds.

The process only costs $50 for the barrel and $10 for the bolt.

Of the three top barrels mentioned, krieger, Shilen or Lilja. Which one has the best velocity? If I remember correctly one of the upper level match barrels was significantly slower than other barrels of the same length.

Which upper would you choose to go with the barrel of your choice?
