I picked up a Alexander Arms bolt and 18 inch fluted stainless barrel, DPMS Gas Block Single Picatinny Rail, Geissele Super Semi Automatic Trigger, High rise Billet Beaver Creek upper, Lower is Stag Arms, getting it all together this weekend.
so far I have trued the receiver and put M4 cuts into the receiver.Turned down the YHM free float tube on a lathe to fit the mid length barrel gas system.

Still need to make a 9/16-24 TPI muzzle brake on the lathe

100 yard group average .3 MOA, finally got to a bench
200 yard was about 2 MOA
250 Yard shrunk to 3 shot group .75 inch? not sue why stabilized I guess
1st round hits out to 400 yards on 4 inch steel
not bad so far once I hand load should do better

Sweet build fmsniper! I like the buffer too. You are a talented individual, way to be self-sufficient. I am about to go the AA barrel and bolt combo route also so it's nice to see the range proof on the barrel. I am still about 3% uncertain on whether to go with the 18" or the 20". Nice job on the camo!

interesting that my grendel with 123 Grain Hornandy Amax shoots 1.27 @100 yards' group

and .497 @ 200 Yard group

Nothing wrong with that at all. Cut out a 2 or 3" circle of pie plate and put it on your forehead or your chest and that sort of brings it to light what you are accomplishing. We are a spoiled bunch of riflemen in this day and age. We have the very best barrels, powder, bullets, etc... that have EVER been produced in the history of the firearm. I can take a total novice that has never held a rifle in their lives and have them consistently ringing 12" steel @ 600 yards within an afternoon. I don't think that was possible a few decades or so ago. I may be wrong, but from what I have READ ( I'm only 37) that is all correct.
Still, good shooting! Not saying all that to take anything away from your ability, because I'm no military sniper and don't think I could begin to shoot with one, but just don't think we should be too hard on ourselves these days.

and my mauser built 308 with pacnor barrel
