I suspect this will be on the November ballot in Oregon. Filed today. They're coming after our semi-autos and magazines larger than 10 rounds, including handgun mags. Looks like they're grand-fathering current owners but you have to be 'approved' ( Story below says I'm wrong). This is going to be ugly. I expect it will pass.

OMG that is so over the top. If I'm reading that correctly, in order to have one grandfathered and registered, you would need to have your landlords approval if you're a renter. And your basically only allowed to use it at a "target range".

Similar snit is occurring in FL too and we have a super republican majority. The sad thing is the problem isn't the guns as we always have had weapons, it's the breakdown of the family core unit and social values in the whole that is shameful. It's rather disheartening to watch but it's their agenda that must get stopped so we have to get off the sidelines and get in the game.

Here you have a Lutheran pastor, wearing a white collar, being interviewed in front of his church, filing a political petition and using the church as a meeting hall...with no Political Action Committee in sight. How is this not a violation of the church's non-profit status? I wish Knutson was as concerned with saving souls as he is about banning guns.

Using the same reasoning, machetes would have to be banned. I forgot cars. They would have to be banned as well.

Like an atheist claiming membership of a church but lately wanting to argue the existence of God. If you are not careful you're just going to upset people. My advice is to accept that this is a gun forum and people come here because they love guns. Not just any guns, the calibre is AR specific so your arguments against owning AR's are anathema.
This is my last post on the matter.
