So, would the CEO of Dicks / FIeld and Stream walk up to an 18 year old young man, back on leave from the sand box countries who has an AR in his hands and thank him for his service - or would the CEO say that the "kid" was too young to serve and that he should have waited until he was 21? If an 18 yr old can join and be expected to honorably serve, then he should be able to purchase the same weapon on the civilian side!

Yes. That is correct. Somewhat. Dick's made their announcement in 2012. No more selling. They created "Field and Stream" in 2013. Then, they sold those weapons through Field and Stream...

THAT is hipocrisy...

They didn't have/make/own Field and Stream when they made their announcement of "no more sales" after Sandy Hook - they created that entity afterwards...

Same company, at the new store complex in Prosper, TX, there is a Dicks and a F/S side by side with no wall between them. The parts of either store that relate to firearms is insignificant.

Yes, Oregon is in the 9th Circuit, but this is an Oregon law and filed in an Oregon Circuit court. It would go through state courts prior to any federal review. Read more here if interested.

Update: Oregon Bureau of Labor believes Dick's (and Walmart's and Bimart's and Kroeger's) new policy violates state law. Of course next session the Dems will change the law. Brought to you by the same people who think 16 year olds should have the vote.

I haven't been in a Dicks for several years now. They tend to hire anti-gun liberal managers who don't like you. They refuse to honor their coupons for guns, ammo and anything gun related for that matter. They have that "some exclusions apply" in the fine print. Heck they even refuse to honor the coupons for other things in the store too. I am surprised that they even bother to have a store clerk in the firearms section anymore. The last time I checked out their guns, the clerk couldn't open the cases to show me one. He was just there because the manager told him to be there. So besides high prices, they obviously have little interest in even bothering to sell a firearm.
