Ruger American in 6.5 Grendel

Interesting. I just filled out the comment form asking if my RPR uses a 6.5 Creedmoor SAAMI spec chamber ; ) I'll report back.

Attached is Ruger's response. Different than what BTF got back on the Grendel chambering.

We stopped by their booth at SHOT, no samples on display, but Ruger does have a lot of SKUs.

as far as a grendel bolt gun i still want a BDL over a detachable mag i figure if i am going to deal with the ergonomics of a mag hanging 3 inches out the bottom of the receiver i may as well just use an AR

mongoosesnipe - If one wanted the traditional bolt action body, then yes to a flush floor plate. But to compare an AR to a Bolt gun with a mag hanging out the bottom - two different animals.

I'm an FFL so I ordered it directly from one of Ruger's distributors. They only got 8 of them from Ruger and as of right now, they only have 1 left.

Local gun store quoted me $455 before tax.

$455 is a fair price. The trouble is going to be getting a hold of them. The distributors are out of them already (at least the ones that I use anyways). Here is one for sale in Spokane for $460.

Funny how people see things differently. I would have described the Creedmoor as a Grendel Long.
