Not an SBR, not a pistol. An "other".
Rifle barrel of at least 11.5", pistol buffer tube, forward vertical grip.
OAL greater than 26" and designed to be fired using two hands, therefore not a pistol.
Barrel less than 16" but not designed to be shouldered, therefore not a (SBR) rifle.
Search Franklin Armory XO-26.
Not an NFA AOW.
In a free state you could probably do it with these GB short barrels.

My brother built one but I dont like cheeking the pistol tube. I dont like AR pistols either so I just went and SBRd four lowers so I could do whatever I wanted with them.

Pretty sure you would have to submit a design ahead of time detailing what you are building (then probably pay the FFL gunsmith fee to "manufacture" a new design) in order for it to be considered an "other"..... But I am not a lawyer.

You dont have to submit a design.
Youre not asking atf for permission to build an other. You just build it and if no part of it falls under the purview of nfa you dont have to apply for a stamp.
I still have a bunch of stripped lowers sitting around. I could build one with a pistol tube, i have some spare 10 and 12 handguards too. I would buy an 11.5+ barrel, build it with a vertical grip and as long as my overall length is above whatever it is, 26? Its not an aow.
Then i could stick one of those braces on it and shoulder it all day.
But since I have four SBRd lowers I just move stuff around. I only have two hands
I have one dedicated to 9mm since the mag block is a pita for me. The other three are 5.56, 300, 6.5. I have a short 22lr upper that might get used from time to time. I have a spare upper receiver and a bunch of handguards, debating what to build next. Got the 6.5 out of my system already.
